Exercise is great for keeping the body fit and improving your resilience. Sometimes, however, you may strain, tear or twist something during sport — this is a sports injury. These often occur through insufficient warm-up, or making a sudden wrong movement. They can also develop gradually over time. Common sports injuries include:
- Shoulder injuries, such as frozen shoulder or overuse of the shoulder muscles
- Arm and wrist injuries, such as tennis elbow or golfer's elbow
- Knee injuries, caused by twisting the knee or by a fall
- Hip and groin injuries
- Ankle injuries, through sprain or strain
Preventive care
Even if you do not currently have an injury, chiropractic care can be valuable for active people. A check-up can help prevent future injuries. A well-balanced musculoskeletal system improves posture and supports optimal sporting performance.
