FAQ
Chiropractic care is a treatment method that focuses on the spine. Misaligned or stuck vertebrae can pinch nerves and cause pain in the back, neck, arms or legs — but also headaches and digestive complaints. The chiropractor relieves these blockages through controlled manual corrections using their hands or instruments.
No. You can book an appointment directly, without a referral from your GP or a specialist.
In general, adjustments are not painful. If a treatment could be sensitive, your chiropractor will let you know in advance. Mild muscle stiffness or fatigue can be a side effect and typically lasts only one or two days.
The first consultation (including a full examination) costs € 77. Follow-up treatments cost € 64.
Yes. By all medical standards, chiropractic treatment is extremely safe. Several scientific studies have confirmed this. Any side effects are short-lived and not serious — for example mild stiffness or fatigue for one to two days.
This depends on the type and duration of your complaint, your age and your general health. Your chiropractor can give a realistic estimate after the initial consultation.
The sound does not come from bones rubbing together. It is caused by gas bubbles released due to a drop in pressure in the joint — similar to opening a jar of jam. This is completely harmless.
Contrary to popular belief, the aim is not to "push a vertebra back into place". A chiropractic adjustment is a very fast, controlled stretch movement to restore the range of motion in the joint and stimulate the nervous system.
Chiropractic care focuses specifically on the interaction between the nervous system and the musculoskeletal system, with the spine as the starting point. Registered chiropractors always hold a university degree and specialise in diagnosing spine-related conditions, including the analysis of X-ray and MRI images.
